Cyril and Julia C. Johnson left
a legacy when they gave generously to build and endow Johnson Memorial Hospital.

JOHNSON DEVELOPMENT FUND, INC.

hroughout its history, Johnson Heath Network has relied upon the support of surrounding communities to help fund the development of new and enhanced services. In fact, our flagship, Johnson Memorial Hospital, first came into existence thanks to the compassion of two community residents, Cyril and Julia C. Johnson, who generously donated the funds necessary to build and endow it. In years hence, countless individuals, civic organizations, churches, businesses and corporations have come forward to ensure that the seed planted by the Johnsons, so many years ago, continues to grow and prosper.

Monetary support has become more and more vital in recent years, as changes in healthcare reimbursement continue to impact hospitals nationwide. In an effort to meet the increased need, Johnson Development Fund, Inc. (JDFI), the Network's fundraising arm, has taken an active role in coordinating events and campaigns to offset the costs of equipment, programs and services. JDFI now coordinates fundraising efforts for Johnson Memorial Hospital; Evergreen Health Care Center; Home & Community Health Services, Inc.; Johnson Surgery Center; and Phoenix Community Cancer Center.

Contributions to Johnson Health Network help to ensure that local residents of all ages enjoy convenient access to only the highest quality care. Gifts to any subsidiary or program can be made in the form of cash, stocks or bonds, and may even be made in memory of or in tribute to a loved one. Bequests are also welcome and encouraged. Because the members of Johnson Health Network are 501(c)3 organizations, most donations are tax-deductible.
